At Comic-Con, Hasbro to offer pre-orders for new MMPR Black Ranger figure, unveil 'some special surprises'

Hasbro will be at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend promoting toys and licensed products related to Power Rangers and its other lines, including Transformers, Dungeons & Dragons and its licensed Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Marvel figures.

"We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate our 100th anniversary with our fans at San Diego Comic-Con," Kim Boyd, head of toy at Hasbro, said in a statement. “With ten decades of unforgettable history, Hasbro has been instrumental in enabling generations of families to create lasting memories through imaginative play and storytelling."

Hasbro will be stationed at booth No. 3213 throughout the weekend. Visitors to their booth will have an opportunity to get scanned for a Selfie Series figure based on characters from Power Rangers or other Hasbro properties. Hasbro will unveil an updated Selfie Series app that can now allow eyeglasses and sculpted facial hair, along with several new hairstyles. Fans who get a Selfie Series figure at SDCC will get a unique package sleeve and branded figure stand with purchase.

At Entertainment Earth (booth No. 2343, they will take preorders for the Lightning Collection Remastered Mighty Morphin Black Ranger. Away from the convention floor, the figure will be available for pre-order exclusively on Entertainment Earth and Hasbro Pulse for the convention weekend.

Hasbro is hosting The VAULT: A Hasbro Pulse Store at the Sparks Gallery (530 Sixth Avenue), where fans can purchase best-selling products. SDCC attendees can present their badge for access to select convention exclusives. The pop-up store is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Hasbro is collaborating with its partners for a scavenger hunt. Fans can visit the Hasbro booth and pop-up as well as the booths of partners including BOOM! Studios, Entertainment Earth and Super7 to get 21 different pin designs while supplies last.

Power Rangers fans won't want to miss the panel It's Morphin Time with BOOM! Studios, Thursday from 2 to 3 p.m. Current comic series writer Melissa Flores will be there along with Meghan Camarena, former Hyperforce Pink and co-writer with Flores of Power Rangers Unlimited: Hyperforce #1. Series editors Allyson Gronowitz and Dafna Pleban will join in for a roundtable discussion on the history of the series, a preview of what's next and what Hasbro will only call "some special surprises."

Power Rangers Cosmic Fury premieres on Netflix later this year.
