We interviewed Koichi Sakamoto at AnimeNJ++ in mid-December. Sakamoto-san began as a stunt coordinator and second-unit director on MMPR and rose to become an executive producer and the show's chief liaison to Japanese partners. Since leaving the show, he has begun a top tokusatsu director in Japan, working on productions for Toei and Tsuburaya, serving as lead director on shows such as Kamen Rider Fourze, Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger and Ultraman Geed. He was in the states to promote Anime vs. Ninja, out now on Blu-ray from Media Blasters.
