BOOM! Studios on Monday offered a first look at the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 30th Anniversary Comic Special.
The anthology special, first previewed at San Diego Comic-Con, includes five new stories written by Ryan Parrott (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Rogue Sun), Mat Groom (Mighty Morphin, Ultraman, Inferno Girl Red), former Pink Ranger Amy Jo Johnson and Matt Hotson (Titans), young adult author Maria Ingrande Mora, Mairghread Scott (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) and incumbent Mighty Morphin Power Rangers writer Melissa Flores.
They will be joined by Power Rangers comic series veteran artists Hendry Prasetya, Marco Renna, Daniel Bayliss, Eleonora Carlini and Francesco Mortarino, as well as Ranger Academy artist Jo Mi-Gyeong.
The anniversary comic will be available in comic shops and digital storefronts on August 30.

The story by Johnson and Hotson will preview "The Return" their upcoming limited comic series that imagines a timeline where the original team stays together over the ensuing 30 years.
The comic will feature a main cover by Power Rangers series veteran Dan Mora, with variants by Rian Gonzales (Batgirls), Jamal Campbell (Nightwing), Bon Bernardo (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), Miguel Mercado (Go Go Power Rangers) and Goñi Montes (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers). One variant cover is based on an old press photo of the season 2 team, including the White Ranger, while three variants pay more direct tribute to Jason David Frank, who died last year. It will include 40 pages of new material and 24 pages of classic material aimed at fans new and old.
