Billy returns in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury, premiering Sept. 29

Power Rangers Cosmic Fury will feature old foes and old friends when it debuts in September, Entertainment One announced Thursday.

Cosmic Fury will feature the return of David Yost as Billy Cranston. The series hits Netflix on Sept. 29.

Check out the new opening, with music by Bert Selen:

Returning from Power Rangers Dino Fury are Russell Curry as Zayto, Hunter Deno as Amelia Jones, Kai Moya as Ollie Akana, Tessa Rao as Izzy Garcia,  Chance Perez as Javi Garcia, Jordon Fite as Aiyon and Jacqueline Joe as Fern. Joe, a recurring guest star on Dino Fury, is now a member of the starring cast.

The show picks up where Dino Fury left off. The rangers must chase an escaped Lord Zedd into space. To defeat him, they will need to find new Zords and new powers to face his latest threat. With familiar faces, the rangers will discover the Cosmic Orbs and become the Cosmic Fury Rangers.

Billy's experience and expertise will prove critical to the Rangers in their fight against Lord Zedd.

Zord footage for this season is adapted from the 2018 series Uchuu Sentai Kyuranger. However, suits and weapons for Cosmic Fury are entirely original, a Power Rangers first.

Yost most recently reprised his role in the special Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always, which established that Billy had spent much of his time traveling the cosmos since he departed the rangers in Power Rangers Zeo. However, executive producer Simon Bennett told Entertainment Weekly that the series and special will not be directly connected.

The Cosmic Morpher, available now, can react to sounds it picks up from the show. The Cosmic Fury Megazord is also available as an Amazon exclusive.
