BOOM! Studios on Tuesday announced a Kickstarter campaign for a hardcover collection to release as part of the 30th-anniversary celebration of "Power Rangers."
"POWER RANGERS: A 30th Anniversary Comic Book Celebration" will include three exclusive deluxe hardcovers--Power Rangers Archives Book One, Power Rangers Archives Book Two and Power Ranger Lost Chronicles Book One. All three are available individually or as a set, with or without slipcases and in unsigned and signed limited edition sets in an exclusive collectible box. A $100 pledge guarantees backers their choice of hardcover, while a $275 pledge secures all three.
The second book of the Power Rangers archives includes classic comics ranging from the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" years up through Megaforce. The stories were remastered and restored for their inclusion in the set.
"Lost Chronicles" is a compilation of the BOOM! Studios standalone graphic novels, along with "Power Rangers Artist Tribute," an artbook released in 2018.
The publisher plans for the books to be ready by January of next year.
Other perks in the 30-day campaign include an exclusive Angel Grove High School letterman jacket and autographs by "Mighty Morphin" stars Amy Jo Johnson, Karan Ashley and Steve Cardenas. Backers may also pick up two recently released "Go Go Power Rangers" deluxe edition hardcovers signed by David Yost and Walter Jones, though quantities of the signed copies are limited.
The franchise's 30th anniversary will also be marked by "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once and Always," a special that will be available on Netflix April 19.
