The crew (Tyler, Chris, Hayden, Ryland) tackles Welcome to the Jungle I and II. How was this year's premiere? Lowered expectations do help, it turns out. Special guest stars: CLF's dogs.
Opening sketch written and performed by Tyler Waldman and Mike Manos with samples from....meh, lots of stuff. Listen and figure that out. In Rangerboard Masterpiece Theatre, the poster Super Sentai catches up on WAY old news and offers his belated opinion. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a craving for RJ's pizza--I love that Hemp Surprise. I wonder what's it it... FIXED! If you have a 5 minute RC, you have the broken one. What happened? I'll let my tech support explain. Comments[21]

Yes, I know JF premiered. And yes, we've talked about it. And yes, that episode of RC will be up soon. But first thing's first. We head to Katsucon 14 in Washington DC. Fun most definitely ensues. I know that 99% of the people listening to this aren't doing it for my sexy voice, so here are some timecodes to make everybody's life easier. 2:52- I speak with the winner of the 1st Annual Rangercast Most Hardcore Fan Award, which I created mid-conversation with her. And in case you're wondering, she's in recovery and doing fine right now. 4:06- We catch up with the busy (and currently sick with the con-plague) Rym from GeekNights 7:25- Clips from the Match Game hosted by Rym and Scott 22:53- Some of the Sentai panel I co-hosted. I think we blew people's minds with Supaidaaman 41:30- An interview with Johnny Yong Bosch. We chat about Once a Ranger, DMC4, Broken Path, and the convention experience. 56:05- Johnny introduces and, afterwards, answers questions about his new movie Broken Path (directed by Koichi Sakamoto and also starring Dan Southworth and Mokoto Nagino) I took lots of pictures. Did I take yours? Check out our gallery here: http://picasaweb.google.com/aresef/Katsucon1402 Some of the music in this episode is from the Eyeshine album "Red Stripes White Lights," which isn't actually out yet. But certainly, when it is out, pick it up. Comments[21]

So by the time this hits the feed, Tyler will be at Katsucon. This post therefore was made not via Tyler, but via intarweb magic. So anyway, the original plan was for the feed to go quiet until after this weekend, but after recording episode 76, we ended up shooting the breeze for about an hour after that and then realized we were having fun doing it. So here for your listening pleasure (or displeasure) is the aftermath that came out of it, which is oddly longer than RC76. We don't know how that happened either. Also, we make no claims to the quality of this content. It was late, we were sleepy. And no structure to this one means no shownotes for you. Sorry.
Also, since we recorded this, the WGA strike's officially over! WOO! And the JF press release is out. OP: Bulk and Skull theme ED: NS ending Next time on Rangercast: Katsucon? Or JF talk. Depends. Comments[7]

-Tsuburaya Pro has won its ten-year legal fight against Chaiyo over the rights to early Ultraman series. Freaking finally. -Kamen Rider Kiba just premiered...er Kiva...or Kiba... -Goonger still looks like it's gonna suck -Mike defends Geki -Several new Jungle Fury titles...puns? We has them. -Apparently, it's entirely possible PR could be moving to the Great White North next. O Canada. And are you gonna be at Katsucon? Johnny Bosch is there, premiering his film Broken Path, co-starring Daniel Southworth and directed by Koichi Sakamoto. Oh, and Tyler will be there doing a Sentai panel, so check that out too. OP: Tourbillon- Break the Chain ED: Ichiro Mizuki- Tao Pic: I recently checked Rangercast's Google Webmaster Tools search stats. Two questions arise. One, why is this person who keeps misspelling yaoi looking for Digimon and other crazy things? Two, why the hell does RC pop up in the results? Comments[6]
